TRICONEX 3664 is a high-density, triple (TMR) 24V DC digital output module in Schneider Electric’s (formerly Envision) Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS).
It is currently a very mainstream output module in the Triconex V10 and updated system architecture, mainly used to replace old models (such as 3721), providing higher channel density and more advanced diagnostic functions. This module is designed specifically for executing critical safety interlock actions and meets SIL 3 safety integrity level requirements.

High density design: Compared to early 16 point modules such as 3721, 3664 typically provides 32 output channels on a single module. This allows for the control of more field devices within the same rack space, significantly reducing system footprint and wiring complexity.
Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR): It contains three independent processing channels that drive and monitor each output point independently. By using the internal “two out of two” or “two out of three” voting logic (depending on the configuration), ensure that a single channel failure does not result in misoperation or refusal to operate.
Applicable system: Mainly designed for system backboards of Triconex V10 and higher versions. Although the physical dimensions are compatible with old racks, their firmware and communication protocols typically require compatibility with newer main processors (such as MP 3009, MP 3101, etc.).

External power supply: 3664 usually requires an independent external 24V field power supply (Field Power) to be connected to specific terminals of the module, and the logic side power supply is provided by the backplane. Be sure to distinguish between these two power sources.
Heat dissipation: When all 32 channels are fully open, a large amount of heat is generated. It is necessary to ensure good ventilation in the cabinet and no obstruction around the modules.
Software configuration: TriStation 1131 V10 or higher version must be used for configuration. Careful setting of diagnostic sensitivity for each point is necessary during configuration to avoid false alarms caused by on-site interference.
